Our visionary founder & CEO Ghada Al Subaey carried the vision for The Cutting Studio within her for some time until it has ripened and finally opened its doors in early 2022.
Ghada has over a decade of experience in running fashion businesses and knows first hand how challenging it can be behind the scenes. She knows the strain of producing collections on schedule, ordering materials, running a production room-all while being the creative head and building a brand. Through her travelling the world and being her observant and receptive self she noticed what Qatar and her fellow fashion creatives are missing in Qatar. The idea of The Cutting Studio was born.
M7 in Mshereib seemed as the perfect location. It is a quarter in Doha which was established by Qatar Museums under the leadership of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani that is dedicated to all things creative. A location she felt can be a nurturing home for TCS to grow and collaborate with creatives, a hub for making fashion dreams come true.
In line with her other businesses Ghada promotes an informed and realistic approach to sustainable working practises and is tirelessly working on improving and implementing them in her businesses.
